Communication
must be effective for co-workers to achieve success, both as individuals and as
part of the team effort. Although communication is an area in which we all participate
daily, often we do not have the training necessary to maximize communication with
others and avoid ineffective work, misunderstandings, confusion, hurt feelings,
etc. In addition to understanding the communication process and effective communication
skills, it is also very helpful to understand your own personal communication
style and the predominant style of others.
